In reality, if you would take Kailh vs Gateron vs Cherry Red, Blue, or Brown switches the differences would be so minute that most consumers could not tell the difference. Would most people be able to tell that the Blue Gateron switch is slightly more tactile than both Cherry and Kailh switches? No.
Red vs Brown switches: Which one is the better for you? As with many products, the main choice lies in the purpose of use, your profession, and your personal preferences. So, with 2 lines of Cherry MX Red and Brown, the following differences will help you make a reasonable decision.Typically people would choose MX Reds over Browns due to the difference in feel. Mx Reds are smoother with no tactile bump. They are scratchy and kind of clacky if you don't lubricate them. Mx Browns are kind of a subpar middle ground between the "smooth" MX Red and clicky Mx blue.
Kailh’s main line of mechanical switches are the most common switches you will see on keyboards. Their main line includes Kailh Red, Blue, Brown and Black. This main line includes switches of all similarly designed factors, with the biggest differences being their switch type and sound profile.
Wow, that's what I was afraid of, then, thank you for you answers, I will buy this keyboard with Brown switches then. And yeah, Brown, not red, I wanted to give it a try to linear with the Silver but I know the red switches and even if it's good, tho for typing I prefer more the Brown (my K70 with red is taking dust :( ) Thanks again you both!
